Panel two. “We lost the election because our tax exempt status was not applied as quickly as it could have been. If only we’d had it sooner, Romney would have looked so much more charismatic.”

OHHHH THE TABLES HAVE TURNED NOW, MOTHERFUCKER! LOOK AT YOUR DAINTY LITTLE BITE-SIZE SANDWICHES AND LAMENT THAT YOU CAN’T JUST FORGET ABOUT DECORUM AND CHOW DOWN ON SOME HEARTLAND POOR PEOPLE FOOD, DRIPPING WITH SAVORY SAUCES THAT WOULD STAIN YOUR STUPID FUCKING SHORTS
Am I looking at Romney’s campaign strategy playbook or something here?
You know, I’d pay to read a “Richie Rich as Mitt Romney trying to appeal to regular people” comic. Seems like it would have been a surefire hit last year.

Chuck Asay sure does love the ‘Ant and Grasshopper’ parable. It lets him call large swathes of people lazy moochers without actually calling them ‘lazy.’
Though this cartoon actually does work. The ants are rich, white heterosexuals and the grasshoppers and bees and whatever other insects are in the background make up the diverse coalition that reelected Barack Obama and will continue to make up a larger and larger portion of America. As Republicans and Fox News ignore them, they ensure their own losses in future elections.
Also: Obama’s supporters actually liked him and reveled in his success, while Romney’s supporters were dour and subdued. Clear difference in voter enthusiasm.

Did… did Stahler draw Romney and then color him brown? I swear, that doesn’t look at all like Obama.

Want to see impotence incarnate? Henry Payne is trying to dredge up the ‘Obama ate dog’ non-troversy. He has nothing else to go with, so he goes back to that.
Oh my god, look. Two of the tools in Mitt’s Swiss Army Knife are a hammer and sickle!
…
What is this cartoon trying to say?
and not pat Mitt on the back for his ‘gracious’ concession speech. It’s just as much empty pablum as so much political dialogue is, empty rhetoric and vapid platitudes. “Time to come together, blah blah blah, we’re facing a crossroads, blah blah blah.”
Spare me. I’ll stop ragging on Romney now, if he just goes away.
