Welcome to my nightmares, Porky Newt.
(Not a shitty cartoon, but dear god Porky Newt is outright demonic there.)

By ‘Judgement Day,’ does he mean when billions of people will be sent to hell for all eternity just for not believing in God?
I’m not sure Dick Clark’s amiability will be all that reassuring as people are sent to the fiery abyss.
That’s a very misotheistic reading of the comic, Dunesen. I like it.
Also, I just realized I should start counting all the Pearly Gates comics in my tags. It is a quintessential cliché, after all.
I’m just calling it as it is. Judgement Day means people go to hell for not being Christians.
And I’m not sure I’d recommend trying to count all the Pearly Gates comics. Far too many to count.

Another two before I call it a day. After I check tomorrow morning I’ll count them all and see how many lazy-ass editorial cartoonists there are. (Still waiting to see if Gorrell just copy-and-pastes the CBS logo and adds a teardrop to take the crown.)

Hi there!
I had noticed Kelly wasn’t using the cloaked Death figure lately. I guess he was let go (still a tough economy) and is now looking for guest appearances in other cartoonists’ works.
(And why is there a news kiosk inside the restaurant? I could see maybe if this set at an outdoor cafe, but like Ken Catalino’s cartoons this one is taking place in some Phantom Zone-type area where everything and everyone is just floating in some void.)
