A PhD student received a government grant? Well that’s unheard of. Clearly that’s the important thing here. I see this news opening up a new chapter of the ‘welfare queens driving Cadillacs’ talking point: crazed gunmen are being financed by the Obama administration! We know this because of the one (1) case where someone receiving government grants went on to shoot people.

Although… if it’s so horrendous that this guy received government funds (because he was so obviously crazy before he went on his rampage, right? What was the government thinking?), isn’t it also horrendous he was able to get any guns? But no. The point of this outrage is to distract people from the basic question of gun availability.

And I wonder what took McCoy so long to get in on the Fast and Furious frenzy.
